Why do you volunteer for Grampian Hospital Radio?

I have always been a radio bird - always had a tranny with me for beside my bed or under my pillow. I know what music can mean and where it can transport you, and it’s a wonderful gift to be able to offer to people when they’re ’not themselves’, worried, perhaps fearful - brings them into a place/space that’s comforting.
I miss the years of connection with my own patients and staff - so it’s a joy for me.
