Civic Reception

24 August 2006

Approximately 60 GHR members including partners attended the Town House on Thursday 24th August 2006 to be honoured at a Civic Reception to celebrate Grampian Hospital Radio broadcasting 25 years on the Foresterhill Site.

GHR first went on air on 14th January 1981 and some of the original members attended our night of celebration. Lord Provost John Reynolds welcomed the party and present Chairman John Graham did a vote of thanks. This was followed by a finger buffet.

Social Evening

17 June 2006

Some 50 members and guests attend the 25th anniversary party at the health board club in King street on 17th June, where they wined and dined – The food was excellent – a fabulous buffet and the refreshments were reasonably priced – or as Neil MacKenzie was heard to say on more than one occasion “Only £2.00 a pint”. Indeed, the more he sampled the better the price of a pint seemed to get!

The Grand Raffle was drawn and one of the many highlights of the night was our Vice Chairman winning a Daniel O’Donnell DVD!

Brenda, Jennifer and Jim warmly thank everyone who attended for making it a night to remember.
